Celtic folk music comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, traditions, backgrounds, countries, purpose and instruments. Four traditional instruments (celtic harp, tin whistle, fiddle and the hammered dulcimer. Celtic music came to america with early settlers, primarily the scots in the appalachian area. Its influence can be heard in much of the “old time” and bluegrass music. Many of the songs changed very slightly through the years.
